| One of the most recognisable faces on
television, Danny has found enduring fame as The Cat in cult classic
‘Red Dwarf’, whilst proving his versatility and action credentials
with a recent leading role in ‘Blade 2’. A veteran of stage and screen,
Danny brings his dancer’s grace, his actor’s timing and his wonderful
voice to ‘Sucker Punch’ as the loveable loser Harley. |
 |
| Harley is a nickname, his real name is
Ray-35 going on 50. A real wide boy, he is well liked but seen as
a bit of a joke. He would have made a good ‘Spiv’ back in the day,
bit like his old man. He knows how to make money but is absolutely
terrible at keeping it, mainly because he’ll bet on anything and just
like the old man when he loses, thinks he can drink his way out of
the shit. Harley is your typical loveable rogue and although he is
about as tough as a wet fart, takes the most amazing liberties with
the most dangerous people. He certainly puts the cheese on your cracker! |
 |
| You can pay an actor no bigger compliment
than writing a role specifically for him but even I was amazed when
Danny turned up on set the first time with the now infamous SuperHarley
suit. He took the character to a new level and is the emotional heart
of what otherwise would have been a straightforward action film. There
aren’t enough words here to put Danny’s contribution into perspective
and although I receive both writer and director credit, Harley is
very much a collaboration between us. Danny certainly put the cheese
on my cracker |
