well as her work on film, for the past few years Kara has used her
love of the martial arts as the lead presenter and more recently as
associate producer for Channel 5's "Now is the Time: Night of Combat"
a weekly sports show which features Kick and Thai-boxing. She has
also appeared on television shows "Family Affairs" and "Richard and

| Sucker Punch is a film for a lot of different
audiences. It’s got the fantastic fight scenes, the comedy, the love
interest, the drama… What I like about it is that it isn’t one-dimensional!
Sucker Punch has some great fights in it and some very talented martial
artists but what really drew me to the project was a script that seemed
character led. Interesting, funny, realistic characters are as important
in this film as the eye-catching combat! |

| Kara has been the bedrock of this film,
managing to give a layered performance whilst simultaneously anchoring
the production team in her dual role as line producer. I have been
amazed at how she manages to switch from organising everyone else
to breathing life into Mandy in key scenes, displaying an emotional
depth and understanding of character that makes life so easy for a
director. Through Kara’s performance, Mandy is so human and everyone
will know a ‘bird’ like her on their street, she nails the part so
well. |
