| Leon is the face of Karate
for this generation, having won the World title. Charismatic and photogenic,
Leon is as much in demand off of the mats as he is dynamic on them
and now he is turning his attention to the world of film. |
 |
| Following winning the World Title in
Karate, Joe Long and Fighters Inc were arranging courses and seminars
for myself, which progressed into some interest from TV and Film.
A few months before Suckerpunch we was approached by Jean Claude Van
Damme regarding an action film to be shot in the USA! Unfortunately
the project did not come off, however everything happens for a reason
and I had the chance to take the roll of Creel on my door step in
London.... I was over the moon. I see Creel as a hard guy who comes
across as very arrogant but determined and focused on being N0 1 within
the fight game. |
 |
| Leon is perfect as the cocky unbeaten
Creel, bringing genuine fighting ability and superb conditioning to
the physical aspect of the role but also investing the character with
an arrogance that befits a hardcore bare knuckle fighter and although
he has, in his own words, ‘been thrown in at the deep end’ as an actor,
he is swimming with the best of them and picks everything up very
quickly. |
