| With a background in drama, modern tap
and ballet, Lisa has worked successfully across film, television and
theatre, including ‘Thick as Thieves’ and ‘The Elephant Man’ and has
also been a live presenter for television and radio shows. Sucker
Punch obtained her services at just the right time, as she has been
constantly busy since completing principal photography. |

| What I loved when I read the script was
the rawness, all the fighting of course (having got my black belt
in Karate) which is also my connection with Joe, the storyline and
the twist and the end. Melanie, I suppose, is a character that was
difficult because she is not necessarily the most likeable character,
running a prostitution business but she has a real need to get out
and change her life but does she in the end? |

| Lisa’s character, Melanie
is a tough sell. On one level, Lisa plays the femme fatale superbly
but she also manages to invest enough vulnerability into her to give
the audience second thoughts about how they feel towards Melanie.
On another level, I think Lisa will get many a young man hot under
the collar and build quite a fan club and that’s part of her allure
as an actress, even when you’re hating her part of you wants to be
with her and these contradictions that Lisa brings to the table make
Melanie three dimensional. |
